Welcome to the official website of the California High School Rodeo Association! High School Rodeo brings together some of the best teen rodeo athletes to compete in this great sport. Nine districts make up the state of California, and each district competes in 8 rodeos throughout the year to determine its State Finals qualifiers. The top 5 from each of the 13 events go on to compete in the beautiful Sierra Mountains in Bishop, California at the California High School Finals Rodeo. From there, the top four move on to the National High School Finals Rodeo to be held in Gillette, Wyoming for 2010-2011. The newly crowned state queens also compete at Nationals for the title of Miss National High School Rodeo.

High School Rodeo is an opportunity of a lifetime. It creates many friendships, unforgettable memories, and creates some of the toughest cowboys and cowgirls in the nation. If you are interested in joining high school rodeo, click on the “District Info” link to find which district you belong to and who to contact for further information. Districts are groups of counties that make it convenient for competitors to attend each rodeo. There is also the Wrangler Junior High Division for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and click on the “Wrangler Junior High Division” link for further information.

On June 15-21, 2009 we held our State Finals in Bishop, California, and after a long week of competing our National Qualifiers and State Queen were determined. My name is K’Lynn Nicole Jackson and I am Miss California High School Rodeo 2009-2010. I am so excited and proud to be representing California and the wonderful sport of rodeo.
